Why do products like this which are obviously audio-visual in nature come out to run only in the PC XP/Vista PC environment. I use a Mac which is far better suited to such content than any PC using Microsoft OS like XP or Vista ever made. This comes with DVDs, which run perfectly on my Mac. I use the Safari browser, which is by far the best browser out there today, far better than Internet Express, FireFox or what have you on the PC. There is no reason for such software, written hopefully to browser standards, not to run in both PC and Mac systems. The big problem with non-browser standard software is that as technology develops, it is far more likely that such software will cease to operate in the future, whereas browser standard software is certain to run forever, or certainly longer than any of us live to enjoy things. I am interested in buying this product. However it is unclear if this product empahsizes Castillian Spanish of Spain (Castellano) or Latin American Spanish (Español).
Can any of the other reviewers answer this question?
For the record, I am interested in Latin American Spanish.
Is the overpriced/overhyped Rosetta Stone software my only option?

I have just recieved this product and can not review it’s contents at this point. I wanted to make people aware that the system requirements do not mention that to install the main program you need a cd/dvd-rom drive. Before I could even access this language program, it was necessary to purchase and install a new drive to my computer. It would have been nice to be aware of this when I ordered the program.
