  • Snag anything, on the fly. Use the newest capture profile to grab your entire desktop, a region, a window, or a scrolling window all with a single hotkey or click.
  • Keep the rounded corners from a captured window or create a custom shape and the only background you’ll see is the one on your website, document, or slide.
  • It’s easier than ever to send your captures out for review with built-in, online hosting from Screencast.com. Now you can share your images with an embed code or give them a URL with a clickable thumbnail. Store, share and gather feedback on all of your visual projects.
  • Snagit’s auto-scroll feature has drastically improved and can now sense when you’re on a web page that scrolls. Snagit will automatically move through the page capturing it both vertically and horizontally at your command. Just point and click.
  • Are you sick of the black background? Now you can personalize Snagit and change the background color to blue or silver or keep it black. It’s up to you!

This is about the best screen capture software product available. It is simple to install, easy to use and will not requiring pages of text to learn.

Snagit captures from every product I have tried it on. It saves in a multitude of standard file formats. The product comes with free upgrades and full technical support. I use the capture feature for pictures but there are multiple types of captures possible. Once saved, I have a standard JPG file that can be attached to an email, embedded in a newsletter or just enjoyed as part of a screensaver.

The company has a full set of tutorials and simple documentation is provided.

Great product at reasonable price. Easy to learn if you’re like me and don’t read directions.

It’s rare to come across a program that works this well, and this easy. I’ve yet to read a single help page or manual, and can do all I want with it to capture screen images. It has these GREAT capture modes – like automatically selecting an obvious object or of automatically scrolling a full web page and capturing that as one image. It works this easy: Start the program, press the big red “capture” button, then press the left mouse button when you’ve selected what you want (or more correctly, when you see that it has selected what you want). It pops up the screen in the Snagit Editor from where I simply right click > copy and then paste it where I want – an email, a Word Doc, etc. I’ve also made .PDF documents very easily.

I’m sure that sooner or later I’ll need to read at least a little bit of the instruction manual, but it’s so great to be up and running with it so fast!
